Zurich Airport International AG, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zurich Airport Ltd., reached an agreement on 21 August 2026 to sell its 25% minority interest in Sociedade de Participação no Aeroporto de Confins S. A. to Aeropuerto de Cancún, S. A. de C. V., a subsidiary of Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste, S. A. B. de C. V. Sociedade de Participação no Aeroporto de Confins S. A. holds a 51% stake in Concessionária do Aeroporto Internacional de Confins S. A., the operator of Belo Horizonte Confins international airport.
The transaction’s completion is subject to customary closing conditions, including the required regulatory approvals, and is expected in the coming months.
The carrying amount of the interest was CHF 0 on 30 June 2026. Upon completion, the transaction is expected to generate a one-off gain at Group level, which also includes the reclassification through profit or loss of cumulative foreign currency translation differences previously recognised in other comprehensive income.
The Board of Directors approved the 2026 interim consolidated financial statements and authorised them for issue on 27 August 2026.
